WHY 59?
Although 59 Unsigned is a mission dedicated to random acts of kindness, the number 59 is far from random. It represents my father's 59 years of illuminating life—a life marked by humble, unrecognized acts of kindness that rippled far beyond anything he or anyone could have imagined. To honor his legacy, I became determined to write and spread 59,000 encouraging letters around the world.
WHY UNSIGNED?
The letters remain unsigned because this mission isn’t about the sender—it’s about the message. There’s no face on the other side of the paper, yet the words still carry connection, care, and love. It’s a parallel to the truth that even when we feel unseen or alone, we are never truly without support.
Just as the writer of the letter is anonymous, kindness can come from places we don’t expect, and love can be present even when it feels invisible. These unsigned notes remind us that, even in our loneliest moments, someone cares deeply—we just might not see them.
